OUR STORY
Byron and Dorothy Gerson Center
The Western Wall Elevator

A visit to the Western Wall (Kotel) is often accompanied by a wave of emotion flooding through your body. When you touch those sacred stones, you can often feel the power of the prayers and tears that were absorbed by her stones over the centuries.
From the Western Wall Plaza, you can look up to the charming Jewish Quarter. So many priceless historical sites and museums hide between its alleys. So many beautiful galleries, educational centers and eateries line its streets.
The time has come to change the Jerusalem experience for old city visitors. The Byron and Dorothy Gerson Center offers an ideal complex that will finally connect the two levels with a three story building that houses an elevator, meeting areas, event halls and an observation deck to enhance family celebrations in the old city, with easy access to both the Western Wall (Kotel) and the Jewish Quarter.
The new complex will offer comfortable passage to the Jewish Quarter, and the capacity to accommodate up to 10,000 visitors daily. A gallery centering around the archeologic discovery of an ancient Mikvah and rotating art exhibits will enhance your time in the complex.
